CAMPUS APARTMENTS HONORED WITH MENTAL HEALTH AMERICA’S
GOLD LEVEL BELL SEAL FOR WORKPLACE MENTAL HEALTH
NATIONAL CERTIFICATION

Prestigious recognition as part of employee-focused mental health and well-being efforts
officially announced during Mental Health Awareness Month

PHILADELPHIA, PA – May 2, 2023 – Campus Apartments, a national leader in the development and management of university-affiliated real estate, announced today that the organization has been awarded the 2022-23 Mental Health America (MHA) Gold Level Bell Seal for Workplace Mental Health national certification. This first-of-its-kind prestigious recognition showcases Campus Apartments’ dedication to mental health, and its unyielding commitment to fostering a supportive, healthy, and nurturing environment for its entire staff.

“As we step into May, which is Mental Health Awareness Month, this honor couldn't be timelier,” said Helen A. Marshall, Executive Vice President, Human Resources, Campus Apartments. “We strongly believe that a safe, inclusive, and empowering workplace is essential for mental well-being. Our policies and initiatives are designed to promote mental health, with a focus on prevention, intervention, and continuous learning. A Gold Level Bell Seal recognition is not just a certification, it is a promise to each other that mental health is our priority.”

In collaboration with the Department of Labor, Center for Disease Control, and national companies, MHA is committed to furthering worker safety, health, and well-being alongside leading health and advocacy organizations. In addition to its organizational expertise and research-informed practices, MHA works with national leaders in workplace mental health to continuously refine the Bell Seal program.

“The Bell Seal for Workplace Mental Health national certification program recognizes employers committed to creating mentally healthy workplaces,” said Taylor Adams, Director of Workplace Mental Health, Mental Health America. “Today, we recognize Campus Apartments, which underwent a rigorous evaluation of its policies and practices in four areas: workplace culture, benefits, compliance, and wellness programs. Being given the status as a Bell Seal-certified organization demonstrates Campus Apartment’s ongoing commitment to employee mental health and well-being.”

In addition to its Gold Level certification honors, Campus Apartments will continue its ongoing commitment to supporting mental health and well-being among its team members through upcoming events and initiatives, including the addition of a paid Mental Wellness Day for all employees as part of their PTO program along with a company-wide webinar focusing on making mental health a priority, to be held later in the month of May.
